Best Vacation Ever
06/13/2010Divi dutch resort - what can i say.......everything was wonderful. rooms were clean, staff was very efficient. location great! friendly, friendly, friendly. planning on another vacation there.

Liked the hotel however it is not close to many restaurants or things to do. Would not stay there again because of that reason. But on the other hand it was in walking distance(within 2 blocks) to the local grocery store. The building we stayed in was on the street so alot of noise from traffic. We had a partial view of the ocean between the buildings in front of ours. All staff was very friendly. We had to use golf carts to go between buildings and sometimes waiting for them was 5 min or more. The front desk/ conceirge is not located in this complex, to get there you had to cross the street. The bus stop was located within walking distance but depending which way you were going on the bus you had to cross a main and pretty busy street.

I stayed in 57A mini-studio for two nights. The first night i got bit @ least 5 times in the bed by a bug I could not see or hear. I sprayed the room with bug spray they left on the kitchen sink and had the citronella candle that come with room burning and received several more bites. The bumps were red and itchy, even after I applied alcohol and hydrocortisone. I hoped & prayed it wasn't bed bugs & I didn't bring them home with me. I had a similar problem last year when I stayed at the Divi all-inclusive which is next door to the Dutch Village which is why I didn't go back there this year. I moved to the Divi Phoenix which is new construction to complete my 10 day trip. There were no bug problems there.

I visted April,3-8. It was nice. You can't ask for much. The room was nice and convient to the beach. The pools are also in an ideal location. Overall the vacation was good. But when it comes to food. While staying here you are on Tamrajin property. Which is an all-inclusive resort. So I advise you not to invest at anything at that hotel. We tried to go to the buffet but it cost $40.00 USD per person!! It is outrageous and you only get one drink. The staff was rude. I had gotten a strawberry somthie which I soon found out had alchol. So I tried to back it back and the lady took my drink and walked away yelling at me. I would sugesst that you vist the resturant on site which is by the pool. It is actually affordable and has a very nice staff.
